Abstract: 
During the night of October 12, 2000, Janko Janjic, who the International Tribunal for War Crimes in the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY), committed suicide when NATO soldiers tried to arrest him. Janjic detonated a grenade when NATO soldiers attempted to arrest him. The explosion wounded the soldiers. Janjic was indicted for war crimes and crimes against humanity in connection with allegations that he tortured women Muslims in Foca in southwest Bosnia.
