Abstract:
On February 26, 2001, the ICTY sentenced Dario Kordic and Mario Cerkez to 25 and 15 years of imprisonment respectively. The accused were found guilty of having committed crimes against humanity, violations of the laws and customs of war and grave breaches of the Geneva Conventions
The case concerns events that happened in Central Bosnia and started with the founding of the Bosnian Croat political party – the HDZ-BiH – in 1990.
