Abstract:
On March 18, 2011, the Securities and Exchange Commission issued a release reporting that the International Business Machines Corporation agreed to pay $10 million to resolve charges in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia that it violated Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) books and records and internal control provisions by bribing government officials in South Korea and China.
