Abstract:
The Arms Control, International Security and Science Affairs Subcommittee of the House Foreign Affairs Committee held hearings to examine the role of Congress in the war against international terrorism on April 29, and on May 1, 1986.  The main issue was whether the Administration had complied with the War Powers Resolution which contains certain requirements concerning the President's consultation with Congress prior to introducing United States armed forces into hostilities.
