Abstract:
On October 22, 1985 a hearing took place regarding the U.S./U.K. Supplementary Extradition Treaty which would revise a 13-year old extradition treaty between two countries.  The leading Irish American organizations reaffirmed strongly their opposition to the amending treaty and urged its defeat.  According to the Committee of Foreign Relations, this issue is not concluded yet and there will probably be more hearings held on this subject in the near future.
