  In what is becoming an increasing phenomenon throughout the world, governments are realizing that effective cooperation between tax and immigration authorities can both raise revenue and simultaneously help enforce immigration laws. The German Government, besieged by immigrants, both legal and illegal, has turned to this method of cooperation.
