Abstract: 
On March 2, 2001, the German Government surrendered former fugitive financier Martin Frankel to the U.S. Frankel arrived at JFK airport in New York and was taken to the Northern Correctional Institution in Somers, Connecticut, a high-security prison, until his arraignment before the U.S. District Court in New Haven, Connecticut. Frankel was detained without bond and will be presented on March 5. His arraignment is scheduled for March 12, when he will be asked to plead to charges of racketeering and fraud.
