Abstract:
On August 2, 2017, the German government announced the expulsion of Vietnam’s press attaché over the alleged kidnapping of Trinh Xuan Thanh, who was the subject of an international arrest warrant. On July 23, 2017, Thanh’s lawyer Petra Schlagenhauf said her client had been forcibly abducted around 10:40 a.m. while he was on the street near Berlin’s centrally located Tiergarten Park.
