Abstract:
On November 5, 2003, the German Federal Constitutional Court in Karlsruhe rejected the constitutional complaint of a Yemeni citizen who challenged his extradition to the United States of America for criminal prosecution. The decision 2 BvR 1506/03 disposed of the Yemeni?s motion for a temporary injunction, and led finally to his extradition to the United States. Sheik Mohammed Ali Hassan Moayad, the petitioner, is an adviser to the Yemeni Minister for Religious Foundations in the rank of a Secretary of State. He serves also as imam of a mosque in Sanaa, Yemen.
