Abstract:
On January 9, 2014, a French appellate Court in Aix-en-Provence ruled that Mukhtar Ablyazov, a fugitive former Kazakh banker and political activist wanted on fraud charges, should be extradited to Russia.[1]
Counsel for Ablyazov criticized the ruling and said they would appeal to the Court of Cassation in Paris.[2]
