Abstract:
The financial community in Southern Florida is concerned about the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeal's affirmation of a decision of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Miami, ordering the compliance with an ex parte request for a subpoena of bank records from a local Miami bank, for potential use in a criminal investigation of Trinidad and Tobago nationals involved in violation of Trinidad's Exchange Control Act.
