On March 9, 1994, the Government of Finland deposited its instrument of ratification for the European Laundering Convention. It will enter into force for Finland on July 1, 1994. Finland has not made any reservation with respect to articles 2 or 6 of the Convention, thereby confirming the international trend that states make it possible to confiscate proceeds from all kinds of offenses and that they extend the predicate offense in respect of money laundering to offenses other than drug related offenses...[more]
