Abstract: 
On August 9, 1987 a combined Federal Bureau of Investigation/U.S. Customs Service sting operation resulted in the arrest of four West Germans and one Austrian for alleged violations of the Arms Export Control Act, the Trading with the Enemy Act of 1917 and the Export Administration Act, as well as alleged violations of 18 U.S.C. 1001 for making false statements to the Government.
