Abstract:

Zambian police have accused Dora Siliya, the former Zambian minister for transport and communications, of abusing her office by improperly awarding contracts to certain foreign companies.  Ms. Siliya is alleged to have delivered a billion Kwacha deal on airport radar to the Italian firm Selex Sistemi Integrati without following proper contract procedures.  The allegations come as Ms. Siliya already faces steep legal consequences for her actions regarding the sale of the Zambian state telecommunications company Zamtel to LAP Green of Libya in an allegedly corrupt agreement.[1]
