On November 14, 2000, the European Parliament approved an initiative to adopt a decision of the Council of the European Union to establish a Provisional Judicial Cooperation Unit, subject to its amendments. 1. Establishment of Eurojust to Uphold the Rule of Law Europol and OLAF, the European Anti-Fraud Office face a makeshift system of judicial cooperation in criminal matters based on contacts between liaison magistrates and the European Judicial Network.
