Abstract:

The Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE) of the European Parliament (EP) went to Washington October 28-30, 2013. The purpose of this visit was a fact-finding investigation to provide further insight into the allegations of electronic mass surveillance of EU citizens by the National Security Agency (NSA) and its impact on EU-US cooperation, including on issues such as the Terrorist Financing Tracking Program (TFTP) and the Safe Harbour agreement.
