European Community Agrees to Establish a Permanent Secretariat of the Trevi Group-A First Step Towards a Supra National European Police Force

As a result of a meeting in Seville on March 9-10, the European Community Ministers of Interior agreed to establish a Permanent Secretariat of the Trevi Group which is informally comprised of EC Ministers responsible for public safety and order.  The meeting was chaired by Spain's Minister of the Interior, Jose Corcuera.
