Abstract:
On July 28, 2005, Vice President Franco Frattini discussed the work of the Hague Programme and its implications for the special geographic situation of central Europe. In particular, the area is especially sensitive to illegal migration and organized crime, such as the trafficking of drugs and of human beings. Mr. Frattini explained that in a few years the borders controls between Austria, Poland, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary will be abolished.
