Abstract:
Indonesia has made great strides in the enhancement of its AML/CFT regime over the past five years. One of the key components that produced this improvement was the implementation of the Financial Crime Prevention Project (FCPP), funded by the United States Agency for Iternational Development. FCPP started as a two year project delivering technical assistance to PPATK (Pusat Pelaporan dan Analisis Transaksi Kueangan), the Indonesian Financial Intelligence Unit. Based on project results, FCPP was expanded to a four year $7.2 million project providing additional technical assistance to the Supreme Audit Board (General Accounting Office), the Attorney General’s Office, the Corruption Eradication Commission, and the Inspector General of the Ministry of Finance.
