Abstract: 

On April 3, 2013, an Egyptian court ruled against the extradition of a cousin and former close aide of Muammer el-Qaddafi. Ahmed al-Dam is wanted in Libya on corruption charges and was taken into custody in Egypt in March. The court said that Qaddaf al-Dam was being investigated on suspicion of attacking Egyptian police and should be tried there.
