Abstract:
On January 11, 2000, four physicians who examined during the prior week Augusto Pinochet, the 84-year general, concluded his health is too frail to withstand the rigors of a criminal trial, triggering a statement by British Home Secretary Jack Straw that he is prepared to terminate the extradition pending a seven day delay to allow input from interested parties.
