Abstract: 
U.S.-Mexico bilateral cooperation on fugitive issues has steadily improved in the last decade. Cooperation areas cover a wide spectrum of formal activities, ranging from extradition to prisoner transfer. While irregular renditionand informal mechanisms, like luring and abduction, sometimes take place, they are not the norm. In the past, some specific cases of irregular rendition have created serious diplomatic tensions, suspension of DEA actvities -activities in MexicoSRE, Bolet?n de Prensa No. B-1122, 15 de junio de 1992 and the quasi-freezing for almost a year of bilateral cooperation against crime.
