Abstract: 
For years, the United States has been promoting worldwide reform of domestic copyright laws to increase penalties for copyright infringement and to ease administrative and judicial mechanisms for effective enforcement and adjudication of copyright claims.  Apparently, the efforts of the U.S. government, in particular the U.S. Copyright Office and various inernational trade agencies, have paid off.
