Abstract:
On July 28, 1988, the Subcommittee on Crime House Committee on the Judiciary held an oversight hearing on the "Enforcement of Federal Narcotics, Money Laundering and Firearms Laws."  It represented the first public hearing on the investigation of convicted drug smugglers who were trafficking cocaine into the U.S. in order to get funds for the Nicaraguan Contras.
