Abstract:
On July 9, 1985, a Presidential Showcase program at the Annual Convention of the American Bar Association considered "Resolution of Transnational Tax Controversies." The moderator was McGee Grigsby, Esq. of the Washington office of Watkins, Latham & Hill. Stanford G. Ross, Esq. of Arnold and Porter, Washington, D.C., introduced the subject by explaining that the increasing aggressiveness by both taxpayers and governments as they both become more sophisticated in dealing with each other has resulted in more transnational tax controversies.
