Commission of the European Communities' Green Paper on Copyright and the Challenge of Technology

On June 7, 1988 the Commission of the European Communities released a Communication from the Commission entitled "Green Paper on Copyright and the Challenge of Technology- Copyright Issues Requiring Immediate Action" (hereinafter the "Green Paper").  The Commission identitfies "piracy" of copyright material as an issue of utmost urgency to the European Community.
