Abstract:
On February 4, 1987, Armando Fernandez Larios, who the U.S. had indicted in the assassination eight years ago and whose extradition had been sought, pleaded guilty to being an accessory after the fact and accused two of his superiors in DINA, the Chilean secret police, of having directed the murder of Letelier.
