Abstract:
On July 5, following the 12th Conference of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Heads of Government meeting, the communique mentioned that the Heads of Government endorsed the proposal by the Government of Jamaica to establish a regional training center for law enforcement officers working in the areas of apprehension of users and traffickers of narcotics and psychotropic substances.  The Heads of Government agree that this could be pursued as one of two or more possible regional centers for training, which would operate in a complementary manner and for which the region would support efforts to mobilize international resources.
