Abstract:
On July 7, 1988, the Canadian House of Commons enacted Bill C-61 that provides important new substantive and procedural mechanisms to combat international narcotics trafficking and related money laundering.  The Act also gives new tools to the Canadian Government to use income tax information for investigating narcotics and money laundering offenses.
