Abstract: 
At the start of January 2004, the Brazilian government has resolved to adopt 13 measures to fight money laundering. The implementation of such measures will be undertaken by the recently created Office of Integrated Management of Prevention and Fight against Money Laundering, which will be subject to the Department of Recovery of Financial Assets of the Ministry of Justice.
