Abstract:
On December 1, 2008, Judge Fausto Martin De Sanctis of the Sixth Federal Criminal Court of São Paulo found banker Daniel Dantas and two of his representatives guilty of attempted bribery. Dantas was sentenced to ten years in prison and a fine of R$12 million for attempting to bribe a Federal Police official. Judge De Sanctis also convicted Consultant Hugo Chicaroni and Dantas’ attorney Humberto Braz Chicaroni and Braz were sentenced to seven years in prison.
