Abstract:
In September Brazilian federal police arrested Charlotte Payne, a 54-year-old German woman charged with fraud in German financial markets through the use of forged documents. Mrs. Payne obtained 40 million euros in this way, and authorities are now investigating if she laundered that money while in Brazil.
