Abstract: 
On April 22, 2005, Brazil and Argentina signed an agreement on tax information exchange during the 39th General Assembly of the Inter-American Center for Tax Administrations (CIAT) in Buenos Aires. Alberto Abad, the secretary of the Brazilian Federal Tax Authority, signed the agreement while he visited Buenos to attend the CIAT meeting. The agreement strengthens the income tax convention signed in 1980.
