Abstract:
On February 16, 2016, Bolivian Attorney General José Manuel Gutiérrez announced that the U.S. has accepted the extradition request for former Bolivian President Gonzalo Sánchez de Lozada (2002-2004) and has sent the documents to the U.S. Justice Department to evaluate them. The extradition request charges the former president with genocide for a massacre in October 2003.
