Belize Hosts Regional Narcotics Conference

During the last week of March and beginning of April, the Belize Government hosted their first one week Caribbean Conference on Drug Demand Reduction, which was attended by delegates from twenty-six regional governments.  Manuel Esquivel, the Prime Minister of Belize, opened the conference by calling on the United States to be more understanding in its dealing with countries of the Caribbean.
