Abstract: 
The Anti-Drug Abuse Act of 1986 has provisions that amend substantially the Immigration and Nationality Act.  Subtitle M "Amendment to the Immigration and Nationality Act", requires the Attorney General to provide four pilot programs to establish or improve the computer capabilities of local Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) offices and law enforcement agencies to respond to inquiries concerning aliens who have been arrested or convicted for or are subject to criminal investigations concerning a violation of any law relating to controlled substances.
