African Union Approves Draft Decision to Grant Leaders and Senior Government Officials Immunity in the Regional Court

                On July 4, 2013, the African Union announced it has approved a draft protocol for the proposed African Court of Justice and Human Rights (African Court) to grant leaders, heads of state, and senior government officials immunity while they are in office.[1]
