44 Countries Promise to Help Return Nazi-Looted Art

On December 3, 1998, at a conference, 44 countries approved guidelines to restore thousands of works of art looted by the Nazis to their rightful owners or their heirs. Meanwhile, efforts continue to deal with other Holocaust problems such as claims against insurance companies and claims for impress labor.
