Abstract:
On July 20, 2022, the Supreme Court of the Kingdom of Morocco issued an opinion, indicating that it was “favorable” to the extradition of French national and computer sciences student Sebastian Raoult to the United States. A year earlier, on June 23, 2021, Raoult was indicted in the Western District of Washington, charged as a member of the “Shiny Hunters,” conspiracy. The indictment alleges the conspirators hacked a dozen companies throughout the world, causing millions of dollars in damage, and committed crimes of computer fraud and abuse, wire fraud, and aggravated identity theft.
