Abstract: 
ExxonMobil Corporation has decided to challenge the $2 million civil monetary penalty issued by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) with respect to the corporation’s and its U.S. subsidiaries violations of the Ukraine-Related Sanctions Regulations, 31 C.F.R. part 589. Interestingly, Rex W. Tillerson, now the secretary of state, served as ExxonMobil’s chief executive at the time of the actions in dispute.
