Abstract:
On September 22, 2016, the German Higher Regional Court of Schleswig-Holstein (the Schleswig Court) rejected an extradition request submitted by Turkey. The Court found that the surrender was inadmissible, and released the requested person. The Court explained that the inadmissibility was not a matter of principle but based instead on specific circumstances of the case in hand.
