Abstract:

On October 21, 2016, the United Nations’ special rapporteur for human rights and counter-terrorism, Ben Emmerson QC, a senior British lawyer, released his sixth annual report on the promotion and protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms in counterterrorism. The report was submitted in accordance with Assembly resolution 68/178 and Human Rights Council resolutions 22/8 and 25/7.
