Abstract:
On October 5th, 2016, Czech authorities arrested Russian national Yevgeniy Nikulin in a raid on the Prague hotel in which he had been staying on vacation with his girlfriend. In a statement regarding the arrest, the Czech police alleged that Nikulin, known online by the aliases Chinabig01, Dex.007, Valeriy.krutov3 and itBlackHat, was “suspected of hacking attacks on targets in the United States.” The FBI then praised the arrest, calling it an example of the intergovernmental collaboration necessary “to successfully defeat cyber adversaries.”
