Abstract:
On May 23, 2015, Nigerian drug agents arrested Buruji Kashamu, 56 years old and a senator-elect, on charges in a 1998 indictment by a grand jury in Chicago for conspiracy to import and distribute heroin in the U.S.  As a result, Ofoyeju Mitchell, a spokesman for the Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency has said Kashamu is under house arrest at his Lagos home.[1]
