International Community Tries to Implement Security Council Resolution on Sudan

On July 30, 2004, the Security Council adopted a resolution on the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Sudan and throughout August the international community scrambled to carry out the terms of the resolution and prevent a humanitarian catastrophe.
