Abstract:
On June 23, 2004, Mr. Justice Hugh Small, Commonwealth of the Bahamas Supreme Court, granted a habeas corpus petition of Samuel Knowles, who had been detained pursuant to a U.S. extradition, when the court held that the prejudicial effect of the presidential designation that he was drug kingpin would deny him a fair trial.
