Abstract:
At an April 30, 1998 news conference at the U.S. Capitol, a group of representatives in the U.S. Congress and Governor of New Jersey Christine Todd Whitman demanded the extradition of Joanne Chesimard, a U.S. fugitive living in Cuba who was convicted of murdering New Jersey State Trooper Werner Foerster twenty-five years ago.
