Abstract:
On June 21, 2000, Carla Del Ponte, the chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunal for Crimes in the Former Yugoslavia, announced that the indictment against Slobodan Milosevic would not be withdrawn and she opposed any action by the U.S., Russia or other governments that would enable him to escape justice for the crimes for which he has been indicted.
