Abstract: 
On January 8, 2016, the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) officers removed a former Minister of Defense (1979-1983) of El Salvador for his role in the commission of international human rights violations during the Civil War in El Salvador.  The 1980-1992 war resulted in the death of more than 70,000 civilians.
