Abstract:
On December 15-17, 1990, the five Central American Presidents and the President of Panama met in Puntarenas, Costa Rico, to discuss various issues of socio-political and economic importance to the region. The meeting was a follow-up to the "Antigua Summit" of last June and consolidated the mechanism for the celebration of these summits between Heads of State on a biannual basis. The n ew cooperation includes specifically drug issues and enforcement of security and immigration issues.
